Nordbo-Robotics is a software company specializing in AI platforms for quality assurance in factories, and as part of the Insights department, I conducted user research, interviewed stakeholders, created personas, researched UI patterns, designed task flows and wireframes. To optimize feature organization to enhance the user experience of their software, Craftmate, and ensure Nordbo remains competitive in the market.
To produce the wireframes for Nordbo-Robotics' software, Craftmate, I conducted thorough user research, gathered insights from workshops and interviews, and analyzed user feedback. Using this information, I designed intuitive task flows and created wireframe prototypes that effectively represented the user interactions and interface elements of Craftmate, ensuring a user-centered and efficient design for the software.
I attempted to discover how other companies create excellent user experiences in their robot software. However, I found that many robot systems lack a focus on UX, so I shifted my approach. Instead, I searched for UI patterns on platforms like Pinterest to address structural challenges within Craftmate. I got alot of inspiration from the auto indudstri. Since a car dashboard has to convey alot of information in a very short amount of time.
One important decision to make in regards to Craftmate was whether or not to determine the type of choices the user makes. Here, it is important to understand if the choice should be an informed "no" or an informed "yes," and also to remember what the meta is. In Craftmate, it was important to make the choices neutral.
The final design for Nordbo-Robotics' software, Craftmate, is the result of a user-centered approach and extensive iteration. It features a clean and intuitive user interface, with carefully structured task flows and organized features to enhance usability. The design incorporates feedback from user testing, interviews, and workshops, ensuring that it meets the needs and expectations of the users. The final design of Craftmate aims to provide a seamless and efficient user experience, empowering individuals without an engineering background to effectively utilize the software and automate processes in factories. Without the need for coding skills.
