Data collection for this project involved qualitative interviews with employees from Change, providing valuable insights into their workflow, project management tools, and daily communication practices. These interviews confirmed previous observations regarding individual responsibility for updating project management software, communication gaps, and the absence of processes to handle changes and employee absences.
During concept development, brainstorming sessions generated proposals for the product's nature and functionality, ultimately selecting "reflective process optimization tool" as the final concept. A feature matrix determined essential functions including client and employee scoring, method usage tracking, time tracking, and deadline monitoring. The data collection process followed a systematic approach, involving brainstorming, concept definition, feature identification, task flow creation, UI brainstorming, wireframing, and usability analysis, resulting in a product aimed at improving Change's workflow.
Personas were instrumental in this project, guiding the user-centered design of Reviewly to address Change's specific needs. Created based on insights from qualitative interviews and the affinity diagram, personas represented different user roles within Change, capturing their characteristics, behaviors, goals, and pain points. By referencing personas during the design process, the project team gained a deeper understanding of users' perspectives, allowing for customization of Reviewly to meet their specific requirements. This informed decisions regarding features, functionality, and user interface design, ensuring the product catered to the diverse needs and preferences of Change's employees.
I employed various methods, including mind mapping, brainstorming, feature matrix creation, task flow analysis, UI brainstorming, and low-fidelity wireframing. These steps allowed me to systematically design a product that aligns with Change's needs.
While Reviewly is not a revolutionary solution, it offers a subtle yet impactful approach to drive positive change within Change's workflow. The project emphasizes the need for Change to leverage Reviewly as a user generated tool, providing valuable insights and data to inspire effective problem-solving.
